Cosgrove - Erzinger Family
Michael Cosgrove's g-grandmother, Lena Erzinger Cosgrove, was born in Stuttgart,
Wurttemburg, Germany and came to New Orleans with her family at the age of three.
From her family's arrival to the time of her death (a period of 80 years), Mrs. Cosgrove
lived in the same New Orleans neighborhood.  Mike's g-grandfather, James Cosgrove,
came to America from Ireland with his father when he was a young child.  Mike shared
these photos from his family album.  You'll find links at the bottom of the page that will
take you to other old New Orleans images Mike has shared with us.

The photo above is from a newspaper article published in 1935.  Mike's
g-grandmother, Lena Erzinger Cosgrove is pictured (center, sitting) at Live
Oak Elementary School, surrounded by 3 generations of Cosgroves who
attended the school.  The event was a memorial service, where Mrs.
Cosgrove presented a Confederate battle flag to the school.
