| This photo was taken in New Orleans in about 1910. A visitor to the site asked me if I could help her identify the building, but I don't recognize it. One of the children pictured was her grandfather. Because he was an orphan, she first thought that this might be a photo of the orphanage where he resided. But there are an awful lot of adults and young adults in the picture, so I don't know. And there are so many different ages represented, I'd be surprised if it's a school. Perhaps, members of a church's Sunday school? If you recognize the building, the submitter would be grateful to learn where and who this group was to help her learn a little more about her grandfather's life. Nancy |
