Gordonsville Receiving Hospital Death Records, 1862 - 1864
During the Civil War the Exchange Hotel in Gordonsville, VA became Gordonsville
Receiving Hospital and provided care for over 70,000 soldiers, the majority of
which were Confederate, but, also, included some Union soldiers.  The battlefields
of Chancellorsville, the Wilderness and Trevilians are nearby.  After the war, it
reverted to its original use for many years; it is now a Civil War museum.  These
death records represent the hospital records and those added through the research
of Museum volunteers and others.  A link to the Museum's website is below.
