Sometimes, in the brightness of an April afternoon, when everything
glows, when green seems greener, when roses are beginning to flower,
future tasks don't matter and neither do past worries, because you are
witnessing such a moment of soul-restoring beauty.
-- Author Unknown
Tell them, dear, that if eyes were made for seeing,
Then beauty is its own excuse for being.

never bother to see the dawn.

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in,
where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.

There's such contingent beauty in life:  the open door on summer
mornings looking out on green things growing; shadows of time
and eternity -- seen in the garden, felt in its walls.
-- A. L. Rowse
If you wish to have a mind at peace and a heart that doesn't harden,
Go find a door that opens wide upon a lovely garden.
-- Author Unknown
The least, the softest, the lightest...a breath, a flash, a moment -- have you
noticed that the small things bring the best happiness?
-- Frederich Nietzsche
We should hear a little music, read a little poetry, see a fine painting every day
of our lives, so that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful
that was once implanted in our souls.
-- Johann Wolfgang Goethe
Confronted with the vision of something beautiful, we see
something beautiful about ourselves.
-- Jeff Cox
Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of
strength that will endure as long as life lasts.
-- Rachel Carson
May you arise each day with a voice whispering in your
heart that something good is going to happen to you.
May you find harmony between your soul and your life.
May you know the eternal longing that lies at the heart of time.
May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.
May you never place walls between the light and yourself.
May you allow the beauty of the world to gather you,
mind you and embrace you in belonging.
-- John O'Donahoe
